Invading Green
Xuejie’s work, Invading Green, is a type design based on natural growth. The project was inspired by walking around the city and noticing how many plants grow freely in tight spaces. The design of the type, before the moss growth, represents the narrow areas of a city defined by man-made rules. As the moss develops, the new grown type shows how mosses can break through in these tight and limited spaces and slowly creep, unnoticed, into our environment.
Invading Green was a winner in the Typography category of the 2022 GLOBAL DESIGN GRADUATE SHOW (GDGS)
