Nothing to See Hear
Ane Lopez is originally from Spain and graduated from MDes Communication Design in 2017 with a (Distinction).
” Throughout two years of research, I have experienced a constant battle between the use of words and the use of images to convey the magnitude of the sublime, described by Edmund Burke as the product of the strongest emotion the mind is capable of feeling (Burke, 1757)” – Lopez.
Ane Lopez uses lettering laser etched onto air filters from volkswagen cars to highlight the misleading representations of the carbon emissions scandal in order to address environmental concerns and expose the misrepresentation of facts through language. Ane continues to address environmental issues as an activist and remains currently based in Glasgow.
